Chair Rodgers and Ranking Member Pallone Joint Statement on Biden Admin Enforcement of Insurer Transparency Rule

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) today issued the following statement after the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced it will enforce the insurer transparency rule covering prescription drugs: 

“We applaud CMS for taking this next step towards fully enforcing the transparency in coverage rule, which will help empower patients and employers with accurate information about the cost of prescription drugs. We urge swift movement toward enforcement and will continue pushing to codify these critically important rules through our bipartisan Lower Costs, More Transparency Act.”
