Pallone Applauds President Biden for Lowering Costs by Updating Fuel Economy Standards

Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) released the following statement today applauding the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s (NHTSA) announcement that it will update fuel economy standards as part of the Biden Administration’s work to lower costs for Americans:

“These robust new standards will ensure the cars on our roads are more fuel-efficient, cost-effective, and go the extra mile for the American people.
