Pallone: The Senate Must Act to Lower Health Care Costs Now
Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) released the following statement after the House passed Democrats’ bill to extend Affordable Care Act (ACA) enhanced premium tax credits for three more years:
"After months of stonewalling by Republican leadership, the House has finally acted to lower skyrocketing health care costs for more than 20 million Americans. This bill will provide Americans across the country with relief—for an additional three years—from the astronomical premiums that kicked in earlier this month. Now it’s up to the Senate to act quickly to pass it and send it to the President’s desk. Republicans moved mountains to give permanent tax breaks to billionaires and corporations, the least they can do now is help us lower health care costs for American families who cannot afford to wait any longer."
