Health Subcommittee to Hold Hearing on the Payment of Prescription Drugs in Medicare Parts B & D

Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Health Subcommittee Chairwoman Anna G. Eshoo (D-CA) announced today that the Health Subcommittee will hold a hearing on Tuesday, April 30, at 10:30 am in 2322 Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, "Prescription Drug Coverage in the Medicare Program."

"Next week we will take a close look at Medicare's prescription drug programs as we prepare to take up proposals to strategically improve coverage and lower costs for America's seniors," Pallone and Eshoo said. "This hearing marks the next chapter in our ongoing efforts to lower costs for consumers by reining in the soaring prices of prescription drugs, especially in Medicare Part B and Part D."
