Pallone Applauds WTC Health Program for Adding Uterine Cancer to the List of Covered Health Conditions

January 17, 2023

Earlier this month, Pallone Urged the Program’s Administrator to Add Uterine Cancer to the List

Today, Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) released the following statement after the World Trade Center (WTC) Health Program added all types of uterine cancer to the list of covered conditions:

"I'm grateful the World Trade Center Health Program has added all types of uterine cancer to the list of WTC-related health conditions. This will ensure 9/11 survivors and heroic first responders receive the care and treatment they need for uterine cancer without cost-sharing. While we certainly can never fully repay our nation's deep gratitude to those who bravely responded during one of our nation's darkest hours, I'm relieved the WTC Health Program will now cover all types of cancer."

Earlier this month, Pallone wrote to the WTC Health Program Administrator urging quick finalization of a proposed rule to add uterine cancer to the list of WTC-related health conditions. Previously, the WTC Health Program covered all major types of cancer, except uterine cancer.
